Chroma gallery’s latest show, RAPTORS: Live Bird Art, opened Saturday August 23 with a special event by bird artist Jonqui Albin. Jonqui’s falconer friend Roy brought in his bird Remy, a young red tail hawk. After Jonqui gave a short talk about bird anatomy the public had the wonderful opportunity of drawing the hawk from life.

Jonqui’s next event at the gallery will be Saturday Aug 30: Wire sculpting with a live bird model. Spectators are welcome to drop in.
$20 sliding-scale donation with no one tuned away for lack of funds. A portion of all Jonqui’s proceeds go to support the Bird Rescue Center.
